The name Daguerre is taken from Louis-Jacques-Mande Daguerre who invented the first commercial photograph processing creating images which were known as daguerreotypes. The image was produced onto silver coated copper plates, the metal of which becomes part of the look of the photograph. I have recreated this look by using a photographed image of a similiar metal plate and merging it with a black and white image. A few final touches and a "digital daguerretype" is produced.
